One of the best ways to expose students to people and worlds outside their own is through literature. This session will explore ways to use young adult literature as a means to promote activism and civic engagement among students. Attendees will learn about the exciting and emerging genre of activist literature and ways to integrate it into their classroom, as well as leading authors and popular titles.
